Frank R. Newell joined the firm in 1975, upon admittance to the California bar, and became a principal in 1980. Frank is now Of Counsel to the firm. Frank specializes in real estate and business law, estate planning, and probate and trust administration.

Frank is a lifetime resident of Long Beach, who graduated from Long Beach State University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He received his legal education at the University of Southern California Law Center where he graduated with a Juris Doctor degree.

Since becoming an attorney, Frank has been active in the Long Beach, Los Angeles County, State of California and American Bar Associations. He has served as a delegate to the State Bar of California, and in 1994-1996 served as a Trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. In 1996, he served as President of the Long Beach Bar Association following several years of service as a Director and Officer.

Frank’s many civic and charitable activities include serving as President, Rotary Club of Long Beach, 1999-2000; Chairman, Economic Development Commission, 2003-2005, City of Long Beach; and President, Long Beach Rotary Scholarship Foundation, 2009-2011. He has previously served on the Airport Advisory Task Force and Housing Task Force for the City of Long Beach; as President of the Long Beach Grand Prix Benevolent Association; as a Director of the American Cancer Society; 49er Athletic Association (Long Beach State); Children’s Dental Clinic; Long Beach Community Hospital Foundation; Long Beach Bar Foundation; Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation; and other non-profit organizations.
